The Work Beneath the Surface

Pool & Outdoor Living Design in Toronto and the GTA

A pool is sited before it is sold. This is the design phase for the whole rear property: where the water sits relative to the house and the sun, how the deck meets the door, where shade and cooking and fire belong, how planting screens the neighbour without closing the garden in. It is drawn as one composition, which is the only way a pool ends up looking inevitable rather than dropped in. Construction pricing follows the drawing, not the other way round.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is the design phase: siting, composition, materials and levels resolved on paper. Pool Landscapes and Decks is the construction phase that builds what this drawing specifies. Most clients engage this first, then build.
Knowing you want a pool is not the same as knowing where it goes. Siting decides sun, privacy, sightlines from the house, servicing runs and how much usable garden is left. Those decisions cost nothing on paper and a great deal in concrete.
It covers siting, scale, coping, deck and how the water sits in the composition. The engineered shell specification is confirmed during the pool build, where models and finishes are selected with you.
Yes, and it is common. An existing pool with a tired surround is often the single highest-return project on a property.
