Gardens, terraces, retaining walls and pools from Ancaster Heights and Flamborough to the heritage streets of Dundas and Waterdown. Along the escarpment the water always has somewhere it wants to go, and the job is to decide where before it decides for you.

Gardens, terraces, walls and pools from the lakeside streets of Shoreacres to Roseland and Tyandaga. Burlington sits between Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment, and a lakeshore sand lot and an escarpment slope want opposite things from a base.

Interlocking driveways, architectural concrete, pools and gardens from Old Oakville through Glen Abbey to Joshua Creek. Building here means building on Queenston Shale and the heavy clay that runs between Bronte Creek and the Joshua Creek valley, so the base comes first: full depth excavation, free draining High Performance Bedding, and grading that holds through a Halton winter.

Interlocking driveways, concrete, planting and pools from Port Credit and Lorne Park through to the Credit River ravines. Mississauga changes underfoot between the valley and the lakeshore, and ravine lots bring Credit Valley Conservation into the picture, so we resolve the grading, the drainage and the permits on paper before anything is dug.

Driveway widenings, concrete, retaining walls and gardens from Old Milton to Coates and Willmott. Milton has two kinds of ground, the Niagara Escarpment and the dense Halton Till under the newer subdivisions, and a widening also has to clear the town bylaw and the post-2000 curb cut clause. We settle all of that at the drawing stage.

Interlock, stonework, concrete and planting from Forest Hill and Lawrence Park through to the Bridle Path and Bayview. Toronto lots are narrow, the access is often a single side gate, and the ground changes street to street, so the sequencing matters as much as the stone.

Driveways, patios, pools and gardens from the heritage lots of Kleinburg to Islington Woods and Patterson. York Region clay holds water and moves hard through the winter, which is what decides how deep we dig and where the water goes.

Drives, patios, walls and planting from Bayview Hill and South Richvale up to Oak Ridges and Jefferson. The Oak Ridges Moraine drains fast and the York Region clay beside it barely drains at all, so two neighbouring streets can need completely different bases.

Stonework, drives, gardens and walls from the heritage properties of Glen Williams through Stewarttown and Georgetown itself. Halton Hills clay till sits in the Credit River headwaters, so a good deal of the work here is matching old stone and staying inside the conservation rules.

Interlocking driveways in Springdale, back yards near Gage Park, and the grading that keeps both of them level. Brampton sits on heavy Peel Region clay, so we design the drainage before we design the surface.
